To My Three Followers
I LOL (I know, that's lame) when I look at my blog and I have three followers! But, if I had to choose any three followers in the whole world, I would want it to be you three. I guess if I posted more often I might have more followers, but that isn't what blogging is necessarily about is it?
So I want to say to my dedicated ( and maybe obligated followers) thank you so much for following me. Not just here but for all of your lives, two of you anyway. I know that it has been a windy path to follow and not an easy one a lot of the times but you are still with me.
You are what keeps me going everyday of my life. On the days that the path that I am walking is barely visible and I want to leave the path and not be found for a while, you help me to keep putting one foot in front of the other and press on.
You are the most Deelicious things in my life and I am so grateful to be part of yours!

Sweet Melissa
Below are just a few photos created by an extraordinarily talented lady by the name of Melissa Meisselman. Melissa has so graciously given me permission to share with you some of her work. Feast your eyes on the beauty and art that she has created with a camera!
Now, I don't even pretend to understand the complexities of photography, even if I try my best to channel my grandfather's talent. But I do know beauty when I see it and these creations are in my world, incredibly DEElicious! The colors are just stunning and the composition draws you in and immerses you within this artistic world of nature and creation. Being a nature fan, especially of flowers and plants, these photos make my heart sing!
It is so obvious to me by her attention to detail and her care to capture her subjects at their finest that Melissa is passionate about her work. I am lucky enough to know her personally, so I do know by our conversations about her photography that it is a love that seems to grow and grow. Recently Melissa was hospitalized for Pneumonia and she wrote that she couldn't wait to get well to get back to her work! Now that is passion!
Passion is another thing that I think is simply DEElicious. It can over take you in an incredible way and take you to places either physically or just in your mind that you never knew you could go. And like Melissa, look what pleasure passion can bring to all of us. Thank you Melissa for sharing your work.
I encourage you to visit gurdusphoto.com so that you too can enjoy the hundreds of photos Melissa has to offer.

DEElicious Things From A Distance
For those of you that know me, seeing a picture of snow under a post of things that I think are Deelicious may be quite startling. You are probably scratching your head right now and picturing all of the possibilities that could have taken place, such as a hostile takeover by one of those ethereal snow fairies that you see on TV that look so sweet but are actually scanning the earth for unsuspecting people to take to the dark side of cold weather. Or could it be that I have finally lost my mind like I have so often blurted out was happening when I try yet again to trust that the food at the fast food chains have gotten better.
Nope, none of those things have happened yet. It is a well known fact that I HATE cold weather! Does Charlie Daniels play a mean fiddle? Does Elmer Fudd have trouble with the letter r? (Thanks Geico) Just the thought of cold weather makes my toes curl up, my spine stiffens and my teeth start to chatter as if I were sending out a call for help by Morse code. I was born in Miami. I have lived in Florida all of my life and swear if I ever live outside of Florida it will be in a Carri bean island that stays 85 degrees all year long. But, I think snow is amazing and beautiful. How can something so beautiful be so amazingly cold? I don't know. And the thought that every single snowflake is different just makes my head spin, or is that from the possession of the snow fairy? So my appreciation of the beauty of snow will always be DEElicious from afar.
What about those four inch spike heels with the red soles? How can something that can make you stagger around like someone who has actually lived the Jose Cuervo song (see YouTube) be DEElicious you ask? Don't they cause shin splints or at the very least hammer toes? And what's with the red soles? I thought that was something that only happens to Oprah's shoes. Well all of those things are reasonable questions and probably all true (except Oprah is not the only one that can afford Jimmy Choo shoes). Therefore, I will only imagine how fun it would be to TRY to strut around in those things or for that matter even be able to afford them. It's a girl thing, what can I say?
And then we come to the monkey. Monkeys make me laugh. Every time I see them I break out in a grin. When I was a baby my mother probably told me monkey stories to get me to go to sleep. Remember curious George? I married him! And not only that I named my son after him because I love monkeys so much!!! Not really. The son part. They are just so darned innocently funny. They come in so many shapes and sizes and colors that I could never get bored with them. It's not so much that they do monkey things like swing from trees, make monkey noises or even jump up and down that make me laugh. It's their faces. They are just so darned cute. Not everyone loves monkeys like I do though. My husband and I took my son and future daughter-in-law to a place called Monkey Island. It's just a tiny little piece of land in a river that five monkeys live on. You can watch them from land as they chase each other around, swing from their curly tails and pick bugs from each other (that part isn't so cute). When my future daughter-in-law ( who has since sworn off monkeys) saw them up close she was astounded. She mentioned the fact that they were a lot larger than she imagined and was afraid they might try to choke her out! Needless to say she stayed on her side of the water and they stayed on theirs. I've never actually touched a monkey but after seeing a show on TV about a chimpanzee ripping the face off of a lady I think I will stay on my side of Monkey Island too!

DEEsserts
I have to start with desserts. When I think of delicious things, the first image that comes to my mind is desserts. I can hardly walk past the bakery counter at my local grocery store without drooling. The fanciful things that I see looking back at me from that glass case are enough to bring me to tears. Chocolate laden cakes in mulitiple layers of decadance accessorised with a dizzying assortment of nuts, candies and lacy icing frills. To one side of the cakes are luciously filled cannolis. Lightly baked little shells filled with a glorius array of tasty fluff. Some are rolled in chocolate and sprinkled with nuts while others are fruit filled and fancy. I've often dreamed of a Key Lime filled cannoli. What do you think. There are colorful and spectacular delights on every shelf. I find myself just staring at the beauty before me, almost unable to walk away. I vaugely hear someone behind the counter asking me if I need help. If the truth be known, yes I do. I want to take one of everything in that showplace of magic home with me. I feel myself starting to swoon!! I have got to move on. Back to what I went to the store for, toilet bowl cleaner.
Aside from the fact that I get carried away with the luciousness of the dessert itself and my tastebuds are working overtime, the other thing that causes me to unashamedly stare like a prepubescent boy looking at his first girly magazine is the pure beauty of these decadent delights. Someone with a definite eye for style has implimented the elements of design and created edible works of art. It's true! Everywhere you look is the beauty and pleasure of art. Even in the grocery store.
